Jinan, Air Liquide cooperate in hydrogen industry development

The Jinan government signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with France’s Air Liquide on Sept 15 to promote cooperation in the hydrogen industry.

Sun Licheng, Party secretary of Jinan, met with Nicolas Poirot, president and CEO of Air Liquide China.

The hydrogen energy industry has huge potential for development and is playing a key role in promoting green and low-carbon development, said Sun during the meeting.

The Air Liquide Group is a Fortune Global 500 company and also the world’s largest supplier for industrial gas, medical gas and related services.

Jinan enjoys a favorable transportation system and strong industrial foundation, which provides a good business environment for investors, said Sun. He also hopes that the Air Liquide will give full play to its advantages in technology, industry, market and capital to deepen cooperation in hydrogen energy and hydrogen-rich agriculture with Jinan.

Poirot said Jinan has achieved rapid development in recent years and is optimistic about the future. He hopes the company will deepen its cooperation with Jinan.
