National Women’s Political Caucus/Los Angeles County Coordinating Council Backs Lindsey Horvath For Supervisor

One of the Longest Standing Organizations Devoted to Advancing Women’s Rights Throws Their Support Behind Councilmember’s Bid for 3rd District Supervisor

Los Angeles, CA – The Honorable Lindsey P. Horvath’s campaign for LA County 3rd District Supervisor continues to gain steam, as the grassroots National Women’s Political Caucus/Los Angeles County Coordinating Council announced their formal endorsement of her campaign.

The National Women’s Political Caucus (NWPC) is a multi-partisan organization dedicated to increasing women’s participation in the political process. Founded by a group of trailblazing female leaders, including Shirley Chisholm, Fannie Lou Hamer, and Gloria Steinem, NWPC recruits, trains and supports pro-choice women candidates for elected and appointed offices at all levels of government. The Los Angeles County Coordinating Council includes representatives from the local Caucuses in LA County – Greater Pasadena, LA Metro, LA Westside, San Fernando Valley, San Gabriel Valley, and South Bay.

“The National Women’s Political Caucus/Los Angeles County Coordinating Council is proud to endorse Lindsey Horvath for Supervisor. Lindsey has been a longstanding champion of women’s rights, and has worked tirelessly to ensure that every resident has access to reproductive healthcare and services. She firmly believes that a woman’s access to healthcare and services should not be determined by her zip code. We look forward to seeing her bring her passion for reproductive freedom to the people of Los Angeles County,” said Linda S Wah, National Women’s Political Caucus/Los Angeles County Coordinating Council/Chair.

“The National Women’s Political Caucus has successfully worked to bring women’s rights to the forefront of political discussions, both here in LA County and across the country. As a former Caucus President, I am thrilled to have earned their support and am firmly committed to upholding our shared values. Together, we will ensure that women’s voices are heard and our rights protected and respected,” said Councilmember Lindsey P. Horvath.
