Governor Newsom Announces Appointments
SACRAMENTO – Governor Gavin Newsom today announced the following appointments:
Jeffrey Williams, of Ventura, has been appointed to the California State Park and Recreation Commission. Williams has been Vice President of Physical Production with BET since 2017. He was a Freelance Television Producer from 2013 to 2017. Williams was a Consultant with L&O Consulting Inc. from 2007 to 2012. He is vice chair of Heal the Bay and co-founder of the Black Surfers Collective. This position requires Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem. Williams is a Democrat.
Benjamin Clark, of Oroville, has been appointed to the 3rd District Agricultural Association, Silver Dollar Fair Board of Directors. Clark has been Tribal Chairman of Mooretown Rancheria since 2016 and served as Vice Chairman there in 2016. This position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation. Clark is a Democrat.
Kathleen “Kat” Anderson, of San Francisco, has been appointed to the Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation Commission. Anderson has served as Vice President and Commissioner at the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department since 2016. She has been an Attorney with the Law Offices of Kathleen Stewart Anderson since 1991. Anderson was Managing Owner of Word A. Café from 2018 to 2022. She earned a Juris Doctor degree from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science with a minor in Economics from Stanford University. This position requires Senate confirmation and the compensation is $100 per diem. Anderson is a Democrat.
