JCOD’S Justice Connect Support Center Surpasses 5,000 Service Calls

LOS ANGELES – The Justice, Care and Opportunities Department (JCOD) proudly marked a significant milestone today by processing its 5,000th service call since its launch in October 2023.

The Justice Connect Support Center was established to reimagine and enhance support for justice-impacted individuals and their families across Los Angeles County. The Support Center is completely free and provides linkages to critical services including housing, substance use resources, court appearance reminders and transportation to and from court.

“Justice Connect was designed to ensure that those who have justice involvement receive the support and care they need,” stated JCOD Director Judge Songhai Armstead (Ret.). “This milestone reflects the importance and demand for human-centered programs that help individuals not just survive but thrive as they return to their families and communities.”

The Justice Connect Support Center is toll-free at 833-LAC-JCOD (833-522-5263) and operates seven days a week from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
