Skelebrate Halloween with Boney Island at the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County

Visit NHM on select dates in October for the family-friendly spooktacular celebration
The playful  Halloween skelebration known as Boney Island is back for a second spooky season at NHM. The popular L.A.-based immersive light-up attraction returns to NHM for its second straight year, allowing guests to once again wander the dashingly transformed Nature Gardens for a night of supernatural fun while exploring ghoulishly glowing exhibits, fascinating creatures of the night, and NHM’s prehistoric past.
This hauntingly whimsical interactive experience for all ages will feature familiar sights for long-time Boney Island fans — skeletons performing rope tricks and levitating through hoops, shadow puppetry, and more. NHM will continue to expand offerings for this event with artistic performances, real fossils, live animal presentations, and other ghoulishly glowing installations.
This year’s presentation features food options by local food trucks and vendors, nightly bar services for ghoulish guests over the age of 21, family-friendly photo opportunities throughout the Nature Gardens, Museum collection showcases, Boney Island branded merchandise at the BOO-tique, an NHM gift store pop-up, and more.
Tickets go on sale on September 3 and cost $25 for adults ($20 for members) and $15 for children ($10 for members). Advanced reservations are encouraged as most nights are expected to sell out, but limited tickets will be available onsite during regular museum hours and at the gate.
