Solis Honors Asian Americans Advancing Justice and Chinatown Service Center in Celebration of AAPI Heritage Month

Los Angeles, Calif. – Los Angeles County Chair Pro Tem and First District Supervisor Hilda L. Solis honored two community organizations in celebration of Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month. The honorees — Asian Americans Advancing Justice (AACJ) and Chinatown Service Center – were selected for their dedication to uplifting a deep cultural heritage while making a positive, lasting impact for AAPI communities in Los Angeles County.
Following the recognition at today’s Board meeting, Chair Pro Tem Solis issued a statement:
“Today’s honorees not only demonstrate the strength and rich cultural fabric of Los Angeles County, but embody a legacy of leadership and resilience in our AAPI communities that empowers one another in even in the darkest of times. I’m proud to see community organizations like AACJ and Chinatown Service Center, that continue to be a cornerstone of cultural pride, support, and service for our AAPI communities in the First District. Together, we make a lasting difference.”
