Los Angeles, CA (October 9, 2025) – This Saturday October 11, Los Angeles County Supervisor Janice Hahn will join thousands of attendees from across the region at Don Knabe Regional Park in Cerritos for the fourth annual SoCal Diwali Festival. Diwali, also known as the Festival of Lights, is observed by more than one billion Hindus, Sikhs, Jains, and Buddhists around the world. Hahn has sponsored and attended the event, which is hosted by the Radha Krishna Temple, since its inception in 2022.
“The defining message of Diwali is more relevant today more than ever in our country: the belief that light will triumph over darkness and good will triumph over evil. I’m proud to support this event every year, and grateful for the extraordinary welcome I’ve received each time,” said Hahn. “If you haven’t been to our Diwali before, I urge you to join us for this beautiful celebration.”
This year’s festival returns to Don Knabe Regional Park this Saturday, October 11 from 3pm – 10pm. Attendance is free. Hahn will attend from 6pm to 7pm for the formal program, including remarks from local elected officials and community leaders.

On Tuesday, the Board of Supervisors unanimously approved a motion by Hahn that officially recognizes Diwali in Los Angeles County. Hahn led the effort to have the County recognize Diwali for the first time in history in 2022.
Hahn’s district includes Cerritos as well as neighboring Artesia, home to a concentration of Indian-owned shops, restaurants, and organizations known as Little India.
