Mandopop Queen Cyndi Wang to Bring “SUGAR HIGH 2.0” to San Francisco and New York This November — A Sweet Blast of Youthful Energy

LAPost / Los Angeles, October. 13, 2025 — “Sweetheart of Mandopop” Cyndi Wang has officially announced that her SUGAR HIGH 2.0 World Tour will make its long-awaited U.S. debut, with two major shows set for November 22 at Oakland Arena in San Francisco and November 28 at the Madison Square Garden Theater in New York City.

The concert title SUGAR HIGH symbolizes the euphoric “sugar rush” effect — Cyndi hopes every attendee will feel energized and joyfully addicted, just like after eating candy. Her Beijing stop in August 2025 sold out so quickly that an additional show was added, marking the first time she has performed three consecutive nights in one city — a testament to her immense popularity. This latest world tour spans two continents and will be her first-ever performances in North America, signifying her debut on the Western stage.

Dubbed a “visual feast of full-sugar return,” the SUGAR HIGH 2.0 tour continues Cyndi Wang’s streak of over 60 sold-out concerts. With brand-new stage design and visual storytelling, the North American leg promises to deliver an unforgettable show that blends nostalgic youthfulness with bold creative innovation.

The concert’s signature theme — the “high-sugar effect” — will be fully realized through the debut of Cyndi’s personally conceptualized “Sugar Monster Family”, appearing in everything from opening animations to interlude visuals. The stage will immerse audiences in a playful “sugar dimension,” blending sound, light, and motion into a vibrant sensory experience. Multiple costume transformations will showcase Cyndi’s evolution from her iconic sweet-girl image to a sleek, confident performer.

Cyndi Wang debuted in 2003 with her first album Cyndi Begin and the hit TV drama Westside Story. Her chart-topping songs and beloved dramas — including Love You, Honey, Smiling Pasta, and Heaven’s Wedding Gown — cemented her as Mandopop’s “Sweet Queen.” Over the years, she has released numerous acclaimed albums, such as Heart to Heart, Cyndi with an I, and CYNDILOVES2SING, earning multiple major music awards. In 2016, she was named “Most Popular Female Singer” at the 20th Global Chinese Music Awards. Her 2022 victory on the hit show Sisters Who Make Waves 3 reignited her career, and her 2023 album BITE BACK became Taiwan’s top-selling record of the year, reaffirming her enduring star power.
