L.A. County to Host Open Streets Event Camino City Terrace December 13 and 14
Presented by Metro, Camino City Terrace is the first-of-its-kind two-day car-free event in Los Angeles
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Dec. 5, 2025) — Los Angeles County will debut Camino City Terrace, a two-day, family-friendly and the first car-free event of its kind in Los Angeles on December 13 and 14 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. All are invited to experience City Terrace—a neighborhood within unincorporated East Los Angeles—in a new way with hands-on activities, live music, dance, local food and artisanal vendors, and interactive workshops on nearly 2 miles of open streets along City Terrace Avenue and Hazard Avenue. Presented by LA Metro, Camino City Terrace is also made possible thanks to Los Angeles County Chair and First District Supervisor, Hilda L. Solis and the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works.
“We’re excited to create an opportunity for people of all ages to explore and celebrate City Terrace through this special car-free event,” said Los Angeles County Chair and First District Supervisor Hilda L. Solis, who oversees and represents City Terrace, an unincorporated area of East Los Angeles. “Camino City Terrace offers two days for everyone to walk, run, bike, play, and connect while experiencing the rich culture, artistry, and vibrancy that make this neighborhood so unique.”
“Los Angeles County Public Works is proud to partner with Metro on Camino City Terrace. With support from Chair Supervisor Hilda L. Solis, this event brings the community together on car-free streets and advances safer travel for everyone. We’re proud to help deliver state-of-the-art transportation infrastructure that is safe, resilient, sustainable, and equitable for Los Angeles County residents,” said Los Angeles County Public Works Director Mark Pestrella.
Camino City Terrace centers the dynamic culture, art, architecture, community organizations and businesses of the neighborhood. It will feature three hubs along its 1.6-mile path offering family-friendly activities during the holiday season including:
