Here’s how many medals Californians have brought home from Milano Cortina 2026 for Team USA

All over the Golden State, from Tahoe and Mammoth to Oakland and Redondo Beach, Californians are representing Team USA on Winter Sport’s biggest stage, the 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Games in Milano Cortina Italy. Join Governor Newsom in rooting for Team USA and the Californians as they skate, shred and sled their way to Olympic and Paralympic glory.

Californians won five medals at the 2026 Olympic Winter Games.

Alysa Liu, of Oakland, won two Gold medals in figure skating. Delivering a poised performance that helped secure Team USA’s place atop the podium, Alysa’s achievement reflects both her dedication to the sport and California’s continued tradition of producing world-class athletes.

Chloe Kim, of Torrance, won silver in the Women’s Snowboard Halfpipe Final. Delivering a powerful performance on the world stage, the three-time Olympian time and time again reinforces her place among the sport elite. Her achievement adds to California’s proud legacy of athletes competing and thriving at the highest level of international competition.

Madison Chock, of Redondo Beach, won silver in the Olympic ice dance alongside her partner and husband, Even Bates. Together, the pair delivered a dynamic and deeply synchronized performance that captivated the audience and secured their place on the podium.
Cayla Barnes from Eastvale and the rest of the USA Women’s Hockey team defeated Canada in overtime, ultimately securing gold for Team USA. Barnes’ contribution adds to a team who has historically delivered on the world stage. California is proud to celebrate Barnes’ achievement and is proudly welcoming her home as a champion.

Taking place March 6 through March 15, the Paralympic Games showcase the highest level of international competition and the extraordinary resilience of athletes from around the world. Among them are two Californians who will carry the Golden State’s spirit onto the global stage. Their participation continues California’s proud tradition of excellence in both Olympic and Paralympic sports.

Here are the Californians set to compete:

Jen Lee of Daly City who is a three-time Paralympic gold medalist is aiming to bring home gold once again alongside the rest of Team USA’s sled hockey team. With strong performances on the international stage, Lee is set to compete alongside the best in Paralympic sports. California stands proudly behind him as he prepares to represent both his country and his home state.
Kate Delson, from San Diego is set to compete at the Paralympic Games as the youngest member of Team USA’s para snowboard team. Bringing determination to the slopes, Delson represents a rising generation of athletes prepared to compete at the highest level. California proudly supports her as she takes the world stage.
California’s Olympic medalist and Paralympic athletes alike reflect the very best of the Golden State — courage under pressure, commitment to craft, and the belief that barriers can be broken.
