Alibaba Launches Its “Intelligent Search Business Department”

According to Alibaba insiders, Alibaba Innovation Business Group has recently established the Intelligent Search Business Department, with Wu Jia, the general manager of the UC Business Department and the General Manager of the Book Banner Business Department, as the person in charge and reporting to Zhu Shunyan, President of the Alibaba Innovation Business Group.

Previously, Ali’s Innovation Business Group had hatched the smart search app “Quark”.

About Quark:

  • The number of active users in Quark Search has increased by 5 times

  • Search volume has increased by 6 times

  • AI camera recognition search volume has increased by more than 10 times

Therefore, this business adjustment is also focused on Quark, which means that Alibaba will further increase the search engine field.

It is reported that this business adjustment will focus on the intelligent search App that has been incubated by the Innovation Business Group.

Previously, Wu Jia revealed the business layout of the combination of Quarks “search box + AI tool“, which means:

  • AI engines to upgrade search quality

  • AI tools to build new search portals

  • Vertically creating a “content + service” closed-loop to solve actual user problems
