St. Patrick’s Day Parade returns to Hermosa Beach on Saturday, March 12

The parade will start at Pier Avenue and Valley Drive/Ardmore Avenue, travel west down Pier Avenue and end at Pier and Hermosa avenues, at the start of the Pier Plaza area.

The parade, plus more, will return Saturday, March 12, about five days before the actual St. Patrick’s Day holiday; the actual holiday is Thursday, March 17. The parade, hosted by the Hermosa Beach Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Bureau, will begin near City Hall at 11 a.m. and end at 1 p.m.

New to the festivities this year are family friendly activities such as face painting and Irish culture educational sessions, both of which take place after the parade — from 1 to 3 p.m. — on Pier Plaza.

As part of the St. Patrick’s Day celebration, the chamber is currently hosting a Leprechaun Scavenger Hunt, which began March 4 and will continue through 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 13.

Find leprechauns around the city and win prizes, according the chamber’s website
