Public Health Reports 2,615 New Positive Cases and 29 New Deaths Due to COVID-19 in Los Angeles County Since Saturday

The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (Public Health) today released the latest data on COVID-19.

• 2,615 New COVID-19 cases (3,458,848 cases to date)

• Monday 10/3 – 473
• Sunday 10/2 – 899
• Saturday 10/1 – 1,243

• 29 New deaths due to COVID-19 (33,628 deaths to date)
  • Monday 10/3 – 7
  • Sunday 10/2 – 10
  • Saturday 10/1 – 12
• Hospitalization numbers are currently pending as we await more information from the California Department of Public Health
• More than 12,571,000 individuals tested; 24% of people tested positive to date

Data is by date reported by DPH, but does not necessarily represent the date of testing, hospitalization, or death.
