Holidays at Disneyland Resort to Feature Classic Traditions, New Attractions, and the Debut of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure

ANAHEIM, Calif. (Aug. 29, 2024) – Families and friends can get ready to celebrate the festive season at Disneyland Resort from November 15, 2024, through January 6, 2025. This year’s holiday season promises a blend of cherished traditions and exciting new experiences, including the highly anticipated opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Opens on November 15

The holiday season will be even more magical with the opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure on November 15, 2024, in Disneyland Park. This reimagined attraction brings Princess Tiana’s story to life, featuring original music, favorite songs, and detailed settings that transport guests to the enchanting world of the bayou. Visitors will join Tiana and jazz-loving alligator Louis on an unforgettable journey, encountering familiar faces and making new friends along the way.

This new attraction builds on the storytelling experiences already available at Disneyland Resort, such as shopping at Eudora’s Chic Boutique Featuring Tiana’s Gourmet Secrets and dining at Tiana’s Palace. In addition, new merchandise locations like Ray’s Berets and Louis’ Critter Club will offer themed items that immerse guests further into Tiana’s world.

Festive Entertainment and Cultural Celebrations

The Disney Festival of Holidays returns to Disney California Adventure Park, showcasing a diverse range of seasonal celebrations inspired by Southern California’s cultural tapestry. Guests can enjoy a variety of flavorful food and beverages, live performances, and unique festival merchandise. The Festive Food Marketplaces will feature new and returning menu items, and guests can purchase a Sip and Savor Pass to sample select food and non-alcoholic beverages.

Live entertainment will include new cultural performance groups, alongside returning favorites, adding energy and diversity to the holiday festivities. The “Mickey’s Happy Holidays” cavalcade will also return, bringing holiday rhythms to life as iconic Disney characters parade through the park.

Paradise Gardens will host the Disney ¡Viva Navidad! cultural celebration, featuring daily crafts, specialty dishes, live music, and decorations inspired by Latin American traditions. Guests may encounter characters like Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, The Three Caballeros, and Mirabel from “Encanto.” On select days, The Three Caballeros will lead the Disney ¡Viva Navidad! street party, accompanied by Mexican folklórico dancers, mariachis, Brazilian samba dancers, and percussionists.

Holiday Décor, Entertainment, and Dining

The holiday spirit will be in full swing across Disneyland Resort with a variety of festive decorations, entertainment, and dining options. Disneyland Park will host “A Christmas Fantasy Parade,” where beloved Disney characters come together for a merry musical celebration. Each night, the “Believe…In Holiday Magic” nighttime spectacular will light up the sky with festive fireworks and stirring music, while “snow” falls along the Rivers of America, near “it’s a small world” Holiday, and on Main Street, U.S.A.

Over at Disney California Adventure Park, the “World of Color – Season of Light” nighttime spectacular will fill Paradise Bay with dancing fountains, festive music, and shimmering “snowflakes.” Guests can also enjoy limited-time, holiday-themed food and beverages, including the popular Mickey Gingerbread. Plaza Inn dining packages and a dessert party with special viewing for “A Christmas Fantasy Parade” and “World of Color – Season of Light” will be available for booking.

Santa Claus and select Disney characters will visit the Fantasyland Theatre in Disneyland Park, offering photo opportunities, cookie decorating, craft making, and storytelling throughout the day. Santa will also make appearances at Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, Disneyland Hotel, and Pixar Place Hotel through December 24. Meanwhile, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and friends will don new holiday outfits inspired by the tradition of writing heartfelt letters during the season.

At Disneyland Park, holiday overlays will transform attractions like “it’s a small world” Holiday and Haunted Mansion Holiday, where Jack Skellington from “Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas” adds a spooky twist to the festivities. In Disney California Adventure Park, Cars Land attractions Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters and Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree will become Luigi’s Joy to the Whirl and Mater’s Jingle Jamboree, respectively.

Shopping, Dining, and Hotel Offerings

Throughout Disneyland Resort, guests will find holiday-themed merchandise collections, perfect for gift-giving or as keepsakes of their visit. Special items will be available at World of Disney, Emporium, Elias & Co., and other shopping locations.

The Hotels of the Disneyland Resort will feature their own holiday decorations and entertainment. Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa will showcase an impressive gingerbread house in the lobby, along with Mickey’s Holiday Pajama Party breakfast and brunch at Storytellers Café. The Tenaya Stone Spa will offer holiday-themed treatments, and Goofy’s Kitchen at Disneyland Hotel will feature Chef Goofy and pals dressed in their holiday best. Pixar Place Hotel will debut new decorations for its first holiday season.

Guests can also enjoy snow in the reimagined west end of Downtown Disney District from November 29 through January 5. The all-new Chip and Dale’s Ornament Trail will provide a fun scavenger hunt experience, with maps available for purchase at select shopping locations.
