Slash VR Inc. Launches MetaArms VR Experience at TacCity Airsoft, Bringing Cutting-Edge, Adaptable Virtual Reality to Los Angeles

LAPost/Los Angeles, CA (November 24, 2024) – Slash VR Inc., founded by tech innovator Chris Ma, is excited to announce the launch of its groundbreaking VR experience, MetaArms, at TacCity Airsoft in Los Angeles. This partnership marks a major milestone in the location-based entertainment (LBE) industry, allowing TacCity to bring immersive, arena-sized VR experiences to its customers without costly installations or physical modifications. Through his revolutionary approach, Chris Ma is making high-quality, adaptable VR accessible to traditional entertainment venues across the nation.

A Game-Changer in Location-Based VR Technology

Traditional location-based VR (LBVR) experiences, such as those offered by large providers, often require costly and labor-intensive setups with external cameras, sensors, and calibrated installations. This has limited VR adoption for many venues that want to offer cutting-edge experiences to their customers. Recognizing this challenge, Slash VR’s founder Chris Ma developed a unique solution, enabling the next generation of VR with ease, adaptability, and affordability.

Chris Ma’s innovation makes a noticeable improvement in VR “Scene Understanding” technology, using inside-out tracking headsets that scan physical spaces to create real-time 3D maps of the environment. Chris Ma’s original proprietary algorithm then uses these maps to automatically generate a virtual world that mirrors the physical layout without the need for manual customization. This is a first in the VR industry, making it possible for venues like TacCity to seamlessly integrate VR into their existing spaces and offer unparalleled, interactive virtual experiences.

A New Kind of VR Experience at TacCity Airsoft

With MetaArms, TacCity Airsoft customers can engage in a fully immersive, military-themed VR shooter experience, navigating environments that change in real-time based on TacCity’s existing layout. From navigating a fiery battlefield to exploring a maze-like cargo dock, players will encounter a diverse array of environments that adapt perfectly to the physical space, without requiring additional hardware, construction, or setup costs.

TacCity Airsoft’s decision to adopt Slash VR’s MetaArms experience underscores the adaptability and scalability of Chris Ma’s solution, positioning the venue as a cutting-edge entertainment hub in Los Angeles. “With MetaArms, we’re able to offer our guests a completely new and engaging way to experience our facility, without any of the traditional VR setup requirements,” shared the TacCity management team. “This partnership with Slash VR lets us compete with top LBVR venues while providing a unique and exclusive experience for our guests.”

Major Significance for the Los Angeles Entertainment Industry

Chris Ma’s contributions extend far beyond a single venue. Slash VR’s approach opens doors for thousands of small and mid-sized entertainment businesses to adopt VR experiences without the massive upfront investments that current LBVR providers demand. For venues like TacCity, who have previously tested stationary VR setups with limited success, this adaptable, full-scale VR solution allows them to stay competitive and offer something unique to their customers, who are seeking more immersive experiences than those typically available on home VR systems.

“We’re proud to bring our technology to TacCity and help them offer an exclusive VR experience for their visitors,” says Chris Ma, founder of Slash VR Inc. and designer of MetaArms, “Our goal has always been to make VR a viable option for entertainment venues of all sizes, allowing them to transform their existing spaces into dynamic, large-scale VR environments without the barriers typically associated with VR.”

Looking Ahead: Expanding VR’s Reach in Location-Based Entertainment

Following the launch at TacCity, Slash VR plans to continue expanding its offerings to more entertainment venues across Los Angeles and beyond, enabling even more traditional businesses to enter the LBVR market. By providing technology that aligns with existing venue layouts, Slash VR allows for cost-effective integration of VR without compromising on quality or interactivity, ensuring that more entertainment centers can thrive as the demand for immersive, interactive experiences grows.
