About the Event: Due to strong demand, our location has been moved. The Asian Industry B2B
cordially invites business leaders to attend our upcoming monthly mixer, a special debate between
the Republican candidates of the 39th Congressional District, a seat that Congressman Ed Royce
is retiring from, the most hotly contested swing district in the country. This debate will ask atypical
questions of the candidates, with a special focus on Asian American issues, allowing their
constituents to get to know the candidates more intimately, aiding their June decision. The
candidates include former California Senate Minority Leader, Bob Huff, former Assemblywoman
Young Kim, and Orange County Supervisor Shawn Nelson.
The monthly mixer has a consistent attendance of between 50 and 100 firms and professionals. In
April over 75 people came to hear the Honorable Ling Ling Chang, hosted by the Pasadena Service
Federal Credit Union. The AIB2B March Mixer, sponsored by Wells Fargo, featured co-founder of
East West Bank, Betty Tom Chu, and attracted almost 200 people. Those in attendance included
many influential political and community leaders.
About Asian Industry B2B (AIB2B): AIB was founded by community leader, Marc Ang, for
businesses and professionals in the east San Gabriel Valley to gather once a month, every second
Wednesday. The mission is to build an intimate network of quality professionals engaged in
charity, cultural and political activities, to foster meaningful collaborations, enrich business
owners’ lives and support a platform to elevate the Asian American community through local
business leaders.
