Irvine City Councilwoman Melissa Fox Garners Key Support from the California Bicycle Coalition

IRVINE, CA – In another significant development in her quest to represent California’s 68th Assembly District, today Irvine City Councilwoman Melissa Fox secured a vital endorsement from the California Bicycle Coalition.

The California Bicycle Coalition fights for a California where streets are safe, appealing, and accessible for people biking, walking, and using transit.

In a statement announcing their endorsement of Councilwoman Melissa Fox, Cal Bike Senior Policy Advocate Jared Sanchez released the following:

“The California Bicycle Coalition is delighted to endorse Melissa Fox for California’s 68th Assembly District. Melissa will serve as a voice for California’s cyclists in Sacramento, advocating on behalf of a strong transportation justice movement that enables all people, of all ages, to feel comfortable riding.”

Last month, Fox’s campaign announced a significant fundraising effort, with $222,733 raised in the second half of 2019, more than was raised by Republican incumbent Assemblymember Steven Choi. She starts 2020 with over $200,000 cash on hand
