ASSEMBLY SPEAKER ANTHONY RENDON ENDORSES MIKE FONG FOR ASSEMBLY

Alhambra, CA – Today, California State Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon announced his support for Mike Fong for State Assembly. Mike Fong is running to succeed Assemblymember Ed Chau. Yesterday, Governor Newsom announced that Assemblymember Chau has been appointed to serve as a Judge in the Los Angeles County Superior Court. Assemblymember Chau announced his support for Mike’s campaign in July. A full list of Mike Fong’s endorsements can be found here.

Speaker Rendon released the following statement regarding his endorsement:
“Few people give more of their time, effort, and devotion to their community than Mike Fong. In the many years that I have known him, Mike has always been working to help others. On the Community College Board, Mike has fought to advance social justice, economic opportunity, and educational equity. Mike has worked to make community college free, help unhoused students, and improve job training and career pathway programs. Mike Fong will work hard every day for his constituents in the State Assembly, and I am proud to support his campaign.”
