Venerated LGBTQ+ Democratic Club overwhelmingly votes to support Horvath’s bid for 3rd District Supervisor.

LOS ANGELES, CA – The Stonewall Democratic Club, the first “Stonewall Democratic Club” in the nation and the second oldest LGBTQ+ Democratic club in the nation, voted to endorse the Honorable Lindsey P. Horvath for Los Angeles County Supervisor for the 3rd District.

Founded in 1975, Stonewall Democratic Club has been the home for progressive Democrats who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and straight allies of the LGBTQ+ community committed to achieving equality for all and to advancing progressive and feminist values through the Democratic Party. Stonewall is an all-volunteer grassroots non-profit political organization and is among the largest Democratic Clubs in California.

“Stonewall Democratic Club is thrilled to support Lindsey Horvath in her race for Supervisor,” said Alex Mohajer, Stonewall Democratic Club President. “Throughout her career, Lindsey has worked arm-in-arm with the LBGTQ+ community to advance equal rights under the law and push for a progressive agenda that benefits all of those traditionally marginalized. We know she will continue to be the leader we need at the County that can solve the myriad of problems we face as a county and a region.”

“I am so incredibly humbled by the support I have received since I decided to run for Supervisor, but I am especially honored to receive this endorsement. As a former Stonewall Vice President, this club is and will always remain very close to my heart. I look forward to our continued fight for justice and equity, and our continued partnership and advocacy for the LGBTQ+ community when I am elected Supervisor,” said Councilmember Lindsey P.
