Public Health Reports 751 New Positive Cases for Sunday, 453 New Positive Cases for Today, and 26 New Deaths Due to COVID-19 in Los Angeles County

The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (Public Health) today released the latest data on COVID-19. Today’s case and death numbers reflect delays in weekend reporting.

• 751 New COVID-19 cases for Sunday and 453 New COVID-19 cases for today (2,831,103 cases to date)
  • Note that 142 additional cases have been added to the cumulative total of positive cases due to a backlog of cases from the surge.
• 26 New deaths due to COVID-19 (31,619 deaths to date)
• 329 people currently hospitalized with COVID-19
• More than 11,671,000 individuals tested; 22% of people tested positive to date

Data is by date reported by DPH, but does not necessarily represent the date of testing, hospitalization, or death.
