Public Health Reports 1,532 New Positive Cases and 22 New Deaths Due to COVID-19 in Los Angeles County Since Saturday

The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (Public Health) today released the latest data on COVID-19.

• 1,532 New COVID-19 cases (3,472,418 cases to date)

  • Sunday 10/16 – 459
  • Saturday 10/15 – 1,073
• 22 New deaths due to COVID-19 (33,832 deaths to date)
  • Monday 10/17 – N/A
  • Sunday 10/16 – 10
  • Saturday 10/15 – 12
• Hospitalization numbers are currently pending as we await more information from the California Department of Public Health
• More than 12,605,000 individuals tested; 24% of people tested positive to date
