CALIFORNIA DEMOCRATIC RENTERS COUNCIL ENDORSES COUNCILWOMAN LINDSEY HORVATH FOR LA COUNTY SUPERVISOR
LOS ANGELES, CA – Today, the California Democratic Renters Council endorsed Councilwoman Lindsey Horvath’s bid for Los Angeles County supervisor. The Renters Council acts as a driving force in the development of a tenants’ rights and protections agenda within the California Democratic Party to benefit 18 million California renters.
“Housing costs are rising in California and disproportionately affect underserved communities,” said Susie Shannon, Board Member of the California Democratic Renters Council. “We need elected officials who will expand renter protections and fight for inclusive, affordable housing opportunities. That is why we are proud to endorse Lindsey Horvath, a progressive leader who spearheaded housing initiatives favoring low-income California renters.”
The California Democratic Renters Council, an independent chartered organization of the California Democratic Party, fights to achieve affordable, equal housing opportunities for California renters.
“Fighting for renters has been a cornerstone of my work as a local Councilwoman. Having the support of the California Democratic Renters Council is incredibly meaningful, especially when cost of living and quality of life are primary concerns for renters,” said Councilwoman Lindsey Horvath. “I look forward to working with the Council to ensure that every Californian has access to safe, dignity-affirming housing that they can actually afford.”
