State Treasurer Fiona Ma visit A&C Future office in Newport Beach
Newport Beach, Ca (October 9, 2023) – California’s State Treasurer Fiona Ma, the state’s treasurer who oversees California’s major financial transactions and initiatives, visited the A&C Future office in Newport Beach on Wednesday, 9/27. Ma has earned a reputation as a solution-oriented official who is focused on tackling many of the state’s complex problems, among them greenhouse gas emissions and housing concerns.
In addition to her broader work supporting green initiatives, Ma chairs the California Alternative Energy and Advanced Transportation Financing Authority (CAEATFA), an organization that seeks to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and promote a transition to renewable manufacturing across the state of California. Under Ma’s oversight, the CAEATFA provides innovative financing solutions, including sales tax exclusions to incentivize corporate transitions to sustainable practices.
The A&C Future team is thrilled to have the opportunity to show the Treasurer how our technologies will help address these imminent challenges. A&C Future’s sustainability goals align with those of the California Capital Treasurer as we seek to provide the market with fully sustainable mobile housing solutions. Not only will our flagship product, the eTransformer House (eTH), be fully electric, but all included appliances will be powered via solar units attached to our ‘house on wheels.’
Offering the best in sustainability, maneuverability, and comfort, our 400-square-foot expanding mobile living unit will provide the market with an alternative to inflated housing prices. The treasurer has voiced her concerns regarding housing limitations, stating, “Growing the number of affordable units is critically important to solving California’s housing crisis.” In addition to supplying the markets with a sustainable living unit, we intend to design and price our eTransformer House in a manner that addresses these concerns. The eTH will expand to provide functional living space reflective of a home, and our baseline price will be $200,000, which is over $600,000 less expensive than the average cost of a single-family home in California.
With climate and housing challenges proliferating, we appreciate the Treasurer’s commitment to addressing these issues and for taking the time to consider our unique solutions to support the transition to more sustainable, affordable lifestyles in the future.
