Enroll Now For Youth Winter Sports At Your Local LA County Park

Low cost sports registration open for all

 

LOS ANGELES, CA (December 20, 2023) — Registration is now open for youth winter sports at the County of Los Angeles Department of Parks & Recreation. There are sports for all youth athletes from Tennis, Badminton, Water Polo, Futsal and Basketball. Youth basketball runs in partnership with Los Angeles Jr. Clippers. The winter season runs from January through March 2024.

“LA County Parks provides a variety of sports leagues and clinics throughout the year. Through ARPA funding, our youth sports program is proud to offer an affordable $25 registration fee that includes league play, uniforms, trophy and more ,” said Norma E. García-González, Director of LA County Parks. “Our programs include girls-only sports divisions, as well as coed programs. LA County Parks is committed to supporting the development of our young athletes with skills that will serve them on the playing field and beyond.”

  • Children’s Basketball Clinics (Ages 3+): Our basketball clinics will teach and improve your young players’ dribbling, shooting, passing and defense.
  • Youth & Girls Basketball Divisions (Ages 5+):
    • Registration is open for a $25 sign up fee until January 20. Season runs from January 6- March 30, 2024. An affordable $25 registration fee,  includes a team uniform, award and coach fees.
  • Tennis For All Ages (Ages 3+): This class teaches beginners and those looking to advance in the sport, techniques to breakdown the fundamentals movements to tennis.
  • Youth Water Polo (Ages 8-18): Learn the fundamentals of Water Polo and participate in games and tournaments.
  • Youth Futsal (Ages 9-11): Also known as indoor soccer, Futsal, is a fast paced game played in gymnasiums consisting of two teams competing against each other with a minimum of five players per team.
