SUP. HORVATH EXPANDS TOPANGA BEACH BUS SERVICE TO VENICE BEACH FAN ZONE

LOS ANGELES, CA  —  To help residents and visitors more easily experience the excitement of the World Cup, Los Angeles County Supervisor Lindsey P. Horvath is expanding the Topanga Beach Bus route with one additional stop at the official Venice Beach Fan Zone on July 10 and 11.

The temporary stop at Windward Avenue and Main Street will provide a convenient transit connection from the San Fernando Valley to one of FIFA’s official Fan Zones while maintaining service for existing Topanga Beach Bus riders. The expanded route was developed in coordination with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Works to meet increased World Cup demand, mitigate traffic impacts, support the local economy, and continue providing transit service for beachgoers.

“All aboard the Topanga Beach Bus! On July 10 and 11, we’re making it even easier for residents and visitors to experience the excitement of the World Cup by adding a Topanga Beach Bus stop at the Venice Fan Zone,” said Supervisor Lindsey P. Horvath. “Whether you’re cheering on your favorite team or enjoying a day at the beach, we’re expanding access to the moments that bring people together while making it easier to leave your car behind.”

The additional stop will be available only on Friday, July 10, and Saturday, July 11, as part of the existing Topanga Beach Bus service:

  • July 10: Three scheduled trips will be modified to extend the Topanga Beach Bus route to Venice Beach.
  • July 11: Service will begin at 1:00 p.m. to accommodate a late-night return trip from Venice Beach to the Valley at 10:10 p.m., allowing riders to enjoy the evening World Cup match.
