Disneyland Resort Halloween 2026: Pumpkins, Haunted Attractions, Seasonal Foods and Fall Merchandise Take Over Anaheim

The Disneyland Resort has officially entered its Halloween season, transforming Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park, Downtown Disney District and the resort hotels into an elaborate fall celebration filled with pumpkins, spooky decorations, seasonal entertainment, limited-time foods and drinks, and exclusive merchandise.

This year’s Halloween Time officially begins August 21 and continues through October 31. Meanwhile, Disney California Adventure’s Plaza de la Familia, inspired by the Mexican Día de los Muertos tradition and Pixar’s Coco, runs through November 2.

The 2026 celebration demonstrates how Disneyland has expanded Halloween beyond a single holiday into a months-long fall experience combining entertainment, food, shopping, family activities and cultural storytelling.

Main Street, U.S.A. Turns Into a Pumpkin-Filled Halloween Landscape

Visitors entering Disneyland Park during Halloween Time will once again encounter Main Street, U.S.A. decorated with pumpkins and seasonal displays.

Hundreds of hand-carved pumpkins appear throughout the area, with many featuring Disney characters. Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and other Disney characters also return in new Halloween costumes featuring orange, yellow and black elements, candy-inspired patterns and other seasonal details.

Disney California Adventure takes on a darker atmosphere, with Halloween decorations appearing throughout the park.

Oogie Boogie returns to the area around the park entrance, while bats surround the Carthay Circle area and a Headless Horseman figure appears along Hollywood Boulevard.

Cars Land also receives its annual Halloween transformation, becoming “Radiator Screams.” Lightning McQueen, Mater and other characters receive special Halloween-themed vehicle decorations.

Guests can experience “Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree” and “Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween,” while the area’s “Sha-BOO!” nighttime moment transforms Cars Land with special lighting and Halloween effects.

Classic Attractions Receive Their Halloween Makeovers

Several popular Disneyland attractions receive special seasonal overlays during Halloween Time.

At Disneyland Park, Haunted Mansion Holiday returns, combining the world of Disney’s Haunted Mansion with Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. Jack Skellington and characters from Halloween Town once again take over the mansion, creating a unique combination of Halloween and Christmas imagery.

At Disney California Adventure, Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark returns as a nighttime version of Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!

Guests join Rocket in an attempt to rescue Groot while confronting creatures that have escaped inside the Collector’s fortress.

For younger visitors, Mickey’s Trick and Treat returns at the Disney Theater in Hollywood Land. Children can dance to Halloween music, enjoy bubbles and interact with Mickey Mouse and his friends.

Disney also offers special Halloween experiences such as the Disney’s Happiest Haunts Guided Tour, which takes guests through Halloween-themed stories and attractions across the resort.

Oogie Boogie Bash Returns With 33 Nights of Halloween

One of the most anticipated events of the season is Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party at Disney California Adventure.

The separately ticketed event features 33 party nights beginning August 18 and continuing through Halloween night on October 31.

The event includes Halloween entertainment, character encounters, immersive treat trails and special attractions.

The popular Treat Trails allow guests to collect candy while encountering Disney villains and other Halloween characters along specially themed routes. Candy offerings include popular brands such as M&M’S, SKITTLES and SNICKERS.

Ticket prices vary by date. In 2026, regular admission starts at $139, while Halloween night reaches as much as $199.

A special Oogie Boogie Bash Dessert Party is also available, offering Halloween-themed desserts, beverages and reserved viewing opportunities for the evening’s entertainment.

Halloween Arrives on the Menu

One of the biggest attractions of Disneyland’s Halloween season is increasingly the food.

Disney has introduced a large collection of limited-time Halloween and fall food and beverage offerings across both theme parks, resort hotels and Downtown Disney.

At Disneyland Park, the Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor features “Rest in Chocolate,” a chocolate ice cream creation served in a chocolate waffle cup and topped with cookie crumbs, gummy worms and a chocolate tombstone.

At Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe, the new “BooGogi Beef Toasted with Corn Cheese Soup” combines marinated beef, grilled onions, mozzarella cheese, pickled vegetables and kimchi mayonnaise in toasted sourdough bread, served with corn cheese soup.

Among this year’s Halloween desserts are the new Mickey Pumpkin Cupcake, Halloween Matterhorn Macaroon, Mickey-shaped Ghost Cookie and caramel apple cheesecake.

Plaza Inn introduces a new Villainous Red Velvet Cake, featuring red velvet cake, raspberry jam, chocolate pieces and black ganache.

Other seasonal savory offerings include Birria Potato, a baked potato filled with beef birria and pepper jack cheese, served with salsa and consommé.

At the Tiki Juice Bar, guests can enjoy a Halloween-themed DOLE Whip cone decorated with seasonal sprinkles.

Seasonal beverages include pumpkin cold brew, the Grizzly Pumpkin Cold Brew Latte and a variety of Halloween-inspired specialty drinks.

Interestingly, some fall and Halloween food items will remain available beyond October 31, with selected offerings continuing into November and, in some cases, later in the season.

Plaza de la Familia Brings Coco and Día de los Muertos to Disney California Adventure

Alongside traditional Halloween programming, Disney California Adventure will once again present Plaza de la Familia, running August 21 through November 2.

Inspired by Día de los Muertos and Pixar’s Coco, the celebration focuses on family, memories and honoring loved ones.

At Paradise Gardens, guests can experience “The Storytellers of Plaza de la Familia Celebrate the Musical World of Coco!”, featuring music and storytelling inspired by the film, including songs such as “Remember Me.”

The area also features marigold arches, skeletal figures and a Memory Wall where guests can write messages honoring people they remember.

Seasonal Mexican-inspired food is available at Paradise Garden Grill, while merchandise inspired by Coco includes apparel, drinkware and other collectibles.

New Halloween Merchandise for Disney Fans

Disney’s 2026 Halloween merchandise collections are another major part of the celebration.

This year’s collections include the Mickey Family Halloween Collection, Cutie Ghost Collection, Disney Villains merchandise, Haunted Mansion products and a new collection inspired by Disney’s classic animated short The Skeleton Dance.

The Mickey Halloween collection includes plush toys, apparel, Spirit Jerseys, Mickey ear headbands, bags, keychains, MagicBand accessories and home décor.

Among the seasonal items are Mickey and Minnie Halloween designs, vampire-themed Stitch merchandise and Mickey pumpkin-inspired candy buckets.

The Cutie Ghost Collection continues Disney’s popular “cute Halloween” aesthetic, incorporating pink and orange colors into apparel, sweatshirts, ear headbands, bags, home décor and tableware.

Fans of Haunted Mansion can also find dedicated merchandise, while additional Skeleton Dance products are expected throughout the Halloween season.

Disney Hotels and Downtown Disney Join the Celebration

Halloween extends beyond the theme parks.

Disney resort hotels receive seasonal decorations and themed experiences. Pixar Place Hotel incorporates Monsters, Inc.-inspired Halloween elements, while Disneyland Hotel adds decorations influenced by Haunted Mansion.

At Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa, Storytellers Cafe offers seasonal dining experiences including Mickey’s Autumn Adventures breakfast and brunch and Clarabelle’s Enchanted Halloween Dinner.

At Disneyland Hotel, Goofy’s Kitchen also offers Halloween-themed dining experiences.

For adult guests, Broken Spell Lounge features Halloween-inspired cocktails and seasonal drinks.

The Grand Californian’s Tenaya Stone Spa also offers seasonal beauty services inspired by Disney characters, including Halloween-themed hair, nail and makeup experiences.

Downtown Disney joins the fall celebration with seasonal décor, food, shopping and entertainment. Selected evenings also feature movies and live music.

Guests can also participate in Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit, a seasonal scavenger hunt in which Disney-themed pumpkins are hidden throughout Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure and Downtown Disney. Guests who complete the hunt can redeem their completed maps for a commemorative prize.

Disneyland Turns Halloween Into a Full Fall Season

The 2026 Halloween celebration illustrates how Disneyland Resort has transformed Halloween from a single-day holiday into a comprehensive seasonal experience lasting more than two months.

Halloween decorations and seasonal experiences begin appearing as early as August 18, with Halloween Time officially launching across the resort on August 21. Oogie Boogie Bash runs on selected nights from August through October, while Plaza de la Familia continues through November 2.
