Public Health Reports 10,430 New Positive Cases and 30 New Deaths Due to COVID-19 in Los Angeles County Since Saturday

The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (Public Health) today released the latest data on COVID-19.

• 10,430 New COVID-19 cases (3,335,973 cases to date)
  • Monday 8/8 – 2,174
  • Sunday 8/7 – 3,416
  • Saturday 8/6 – 4,840
• 30 New deaths due to COVID-19 (32,856 deaths to date)
  • Monday 8/8 – 4
  • Sunday 8/7 – 6
  • Saturday 8/6 – 20
• Hospitalization numbers are unavailable due to the delay in reporting from the California Department of Public Health.
• More than 12,375,000 individuals tested; 24% of people tested positive to date.

Data is by date reported by DPH, but does not necessarily represent the date of testing, hospitalization, or death.
