On September 18, 2022, join the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County (NHM) for our annual Dino Fest and the first day of the seasonal Spider Pavilion!
This year’s Dino Fest is a one-day festival celebrating dinosaurs, their prehistoric past, and the science that brings their world back to life. Meet world-renowned paleontologists from the Museum as they discuss historic and ongoing fossil discoveries from around the world. Visit exhibitors for dinosaur-inspired merchandise, and catch a glimpse of rare specimens from the Museum’s collections, dig into hands-on activities, explore our world renowned Dino Hall with the world’s only T. rex growth series, and so much more. Our seasonal Spider Pavilion (only on view in the fall) is a one-of-a-kind experience. Stroll through the open air pavilion to see hundreds of orb weavers and their amazing webs all around you. Then enter the spider den to peer into enclosed habitats that house different species from tarantulas to jumping spiders. Along the way you’ll hear amazing stories and get answers to all your arachnid questions from our Museum Educators. |
