Assemblymember Mike Fong Honors 2026 Women of Impact Award Recipients

ALHAMBRA, CA April 28, 2026 –  Assemblymember Mike Fong (D-Alhambra) proudly hosted the 4th Annual Women of Impact Awards on Saturday, April 18, at the Arcadia Community Center, recognizing outstanding women from across Assembly District 49 for their leadership, service, and dedication to the San Gabriel Valley.

In celebration of Women’s History Month, the annual event honors women making a meaningful difference in their communities in education, healthcare, public safety, business, community service, arts and culture, and social impact leadership.

“Every year, I am inspired by the incredible women in our community who lead with compassion, resilience, and purpose,” said Assemblymember Fong. “The Women of Impact Awards are an opportunity to recognize those whose dedication strengthens our neighborhoods, uplifts families, and creates lasting change across the San Gabriel Valley. Their leadership reminds us of the power of service and the importance of continuing the fight for equity and opportunity for all.”

  • Cindy Kuo – Woman of the Year

During the ceremony, Assemblymember Fong reflected on the significance of Women’s History Month and the continued work needed to advance gender equity, while recognizing the achievements of women whose leadership shapes the future of local communities. He also highlighted his legislative efforts supporting equal pay, parental leave, reproductive healthcare access, and stronger Title IX protections on college campuses.

The Women of Impact Awards continue to serve as a celebration of leadership, empowerment, and community connection throughout Assembly District 49.
