Hahn Applauds Newsom Initiative to Lower Prescription Drug Costs for Californians

Downey, CA (March 18, 2032) — Today, Los Angeles County Supervisor Janice Hahn joined Governor Newsom in the City of Downey where he announced an historic new contract that will make insulin available to patients for just $30 dollars and will soon allow for California to manufacture its own lower cost Naloxone. Supervisor Hahn applauded the announcement and released the following statement:

“No one should have to choose between paying for the prescription medicine that keeps them alive and paying their rent or putting food on the table.  This new partnership to manufacture insulin and make it available for just $30 will be life-changing for families. I applaud the Governor’s ambitious effort and his commitment to taking on the challenges Californians are facing.”
